    • Data Retention

    We keep your information only for as long as it is needed to provide the Medwala Partner service to you, and to meet our legal and tax obligations.
  • While your account is active, we retain your shop profile, licence details, contact information, shop timings, enquiries, quotations and order history so that the service can operate.
  • If you ask us to delete your account, your personal information is erased after the 30 day cancellation period described in "Account Deletion" below.
  • Records that we are required by law to keep - including order, invoice and tax records - are retained for [TO CONFIRM: statutory retention period, e.g. "8 years as required under applicable tax and pharmacy regulations"] after deletion. These records are held in anonymised form and are no longer linked to your name or contact details.
  • Copies of data may persist in our encrypted system backups for up to [TO CONFIRM: backup retention window, e.g. "30 days"] after deletion, after which they are overwritten in the normal backup cycle.


    • Account Deletion

    You can ask us to delete your Medwala Partner account at any time. There are three ways to do this:
  • In the app, open Profile and tap Delete Account.
  • On the web, visit https://medwala.in/delete-account.php and sign in with your Medwala Partner credentials.
  • Or email us at [TO CONFIRM: customersupport@medwala.in] from your registered email address and we will process the request for you.


    • What happens when you request deletion

    As soon as we receive your request, your shop is taken offline and can no longer be found by customers, push notifications to your device stop, and you are signed out of the app. Your account is then scheduled for permanent deletion 30 days later.

    Changed your mind?

    If you log in to the Medwala Partner app within those 30 days, your deletion request is cancelled automatically and your shop is restored to how it was. After 30 days the deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.

    What is deleted

    After the 30 day period we permanently remove:
  • Your login credentials, so the account can no longer be accessed
  • Your name, email address and phone number
  • Your shop name, address and location
  • Your GST number, drug licence number and food licence number
  • The push notification tokens registered to your devices


    • What is kept, and why

    Orders, invoices and tax records that we are legally required to retain are kept, but they are anonymised: the shop record they refer to no longer contains your name, contact details or licence numbers, and cannot be traced back to you. See "Data Retention" above for how long these are held.

    How long deletion takes

    Deactivation is immediate. Permanent deletion completes within 30 days of your request. If you contact us by email instead of using the app or website, we will action your request within [TO CONFIRM: e.g. "7 working days"] of receiving it.
